Product Description LightWedge Paperback - The LightWedge is a reading aid that combines eye-friendly LED illumination with an acrylic lens that's bright, and unobtrusive to those near you. Here's how it works. A handle is connected to a rectangular acrylic lens, and with the push of a button, LED light shines through the acrylic to illuminate the page. Perfect for traveling at night or enjoying a ripping good yarn while lying next to that special someone at home. Energy efficient LEDs give you a whopping 40 hours of light on just 4 AAA batteries! (not included)
The greatest!!October 31, 2008 What a great light! So much better than the reading lights you attach to a book. It also make a great book marker. I ride a bus and it is dark so I can read while I ride to work! Other on the bus have "Light wedge envy"!! ha ha
Lightwedge PaperbackOctober 25, 2008 I bought the paperback size LightWedge because I have the hardcover size already and love it. The light distribution on the paperback size unit I received was not the same as the hardcover size. On the paperback size unit the light made "ripples" across the surface, like a drop of water does, making night reading impossible. There were light rings alternating with dark rings across the entire reading surface eminating from the lightsource. I'm not sure if I received a defective unit, but I returned it and will go to a local bookstore and "test" another one before purchasing again.
Cool GadgetsOctober 23, 2008 This light wedge is just the coolest and most innovative gadget we've seen in a long time. Makes a great gift with its jacket.
AmazingOctober 14, 2008 It is amazing someone didnt invent this earlier,... it is remarkable and the only complaint I have is that I'm staying up way too late reading! *!@#$%ing amazing product!
Good solid item.October 13, 2008 Item works very well, illuminates the page well without shedding too much light beyond the book which could disturb others. I use it to read in bed when my wife is asleep and it hadn't bothered her at all. Only negative is the screen scratches somewhat easily, but that doesn't effect 'viewability' much. Good solid book light, I'd recommend it highly for paperback book reading.
