this is my favorite mag that I subscribe to! I enjoy reading all parts of the mag and love how it takes me more than one night to get through the whole mag! greatest buy ever!
Read it at the LibraryJuly 12, 2008 2 out of 4 found this review helpful
Had a subscription for a couple of years, and enjoyed it at first. But after a while it seemed like a lot of money to pay for a lot of ads and articles about things I could not afford, so I didn't renew it. I liked the style and the idea of simplifying one's space and life, and the recipes were yummy. My local library carries it, so once in a while I go there and browse the latest issue and make notes if there happens to be an internet link of interest or a product or recipe worth trying out. I do that with a lot of magazines--if I feel like it. I find that as I get older my style is more established and confident and streamlining comes naturally. It's "real simple" to simplify if you don't have too much crap to start with!
Real Simple....July 11, 2008 1 out of 3 found this review helpful
It is hard to tell the advertising from the articles in this magazine. Once you find the articles they are informative but very short. It a nice read for the first few months but then it just gets old.
Simply a painJuly 11, 2008 4 out of 5 found this review helpful
Be careful with Real Simple. The magazine is okay, but their database seems to create problems. Real Simple shorted my subscription by two issues and then wouldn't fix the problem. I had in the meantime resubscribed, but canceled my renewal prior to any new magazines being sent -- after all they still owed me 2 issues! I was assured that my subscription would not be renewed by phone twice. I was then inundated with "please renew" notices, sent one magazine, and billed for a 2-year subscription. I don't like doing business with those who have bookkeeping issues.
