 Best reading light we have owned January 6, 2009
My wife and I read nightly, and we have purchased quite a few different varieties of portable reading lights.
While shopping this holiday, we bought the Mighty Brite XtraFlex2 Purple for both of us.
Quite simply, it is the best reading light we have ever used, and we take it everywhere.
1. The flexible cable stays where you put it, doesn't sag or drift.
2. The two LED's completely cover both pages of the book due to its unique aiming angle of each LED.
3. The LED's are very easy on the batteries, we have yet to replace the originals.
4. It has two levels of brightness, although we only use the bright level.
Absolutely a top product!

This is probably the best book light I have used. In fact, I've had one for a long time and purchased this one for a gift.
Mighty Bright XtraFlex2 Craft Light-Purple December 6, 2008
I purchased this book light for my new kindle. I read in the wee hours of the mornings, so this light is handy. Instead of having to turn on my bedside lamp, it is so convenient to flip on the switch of the light and enjoy the comforts of having it shine with just enough light onto my kindle. I am very happy with the purchase. And by the way, I clip it on the leather bound case that came with my kindle while reading with the kindle flatly placed on top of the case. Great purchase...

I received one of these (the black version) a few days ago and my verdict is that I am likely to use it when reading books at night.
Brief overview:
- 2 super-bright LED's with lenses
- light has more blue and very little red, or yellow (think of a steady neon light)
- uses 3 (THREE) AAA batteries
- 40-hour battery life (claim is made on the package, not verified by me)
- power supply not provided
- relatively long, flexible arm
- can turn on 1 or 2 LED's
- solid build
- a bit heavy but had no problem using it with a paperback
I will definitely use this lamp when reading books at night. I doubt I will ever use it as a flashlight or a work light unless I had no other choice.

Best reading light available today. I own at least 7 reading lights and this is by far the best.
