Buyer beware! Loud zipper, difficult to put down sleepy baby November 25, 2008 This is the stupidest product for three reasons:
1. You have to get down on your knees and lean down to put your baby in, by which time that baby's probably woken up (my three month old always did)
2. The zipper is really loud, if you want to avoid your baby rolling out and want to zip it up. The zipper sound always freaked out my baby
3. You're not supposed to zip it up when the baby is asleep in it unsupervised anyway. Unzipped, my baby rolled out after ten minutes.
This is good as a tent, if you're at a picnic and you plan to be watching the baby. However, it is NOT good as a pack and play substitute.
Kidco PeaPod November 15, 2008 Wonderful product and as a parent I am at ease for I know my baby is safe sleeping in the PeaPod. My baby loves it. We use it when we go traveling and put it up in the hotel room. The mattress is also comfortable.
Great for Parents and Kids! November 5, 2008 We love our PeaPod. We bought it for going on our first anniversary trip after our daughter was born (she's 4 months old.) Shortly after receiving it, we got an immediate chance to use it as we had a last minute trip for a family emergency. The tent is very light, portable, and easy to assemble and dissasemble. The price is worth it, too. You basically create a familiar, enclosed environment for your child wherever you go. We've used it for two trips, several overnight stays, and weekly so she can nap at church on Sundays. Don't hesitate-great product!
Easy traveling October 27, 2008 We brought the PeaPod Plus for our 9 month old just before a trip to Europe. She loves to play in it... Sleep in it, perhaps less so. The only real problem we had was that she tended to roll off the inflatable mattress and get wedged in the corner, or collapse a wall. We solved this by placing the PeaPod between two mattresses, which kept things more contained.
Nonetheless, I like the PeaPod, because it travels well and is safer than most other options. I suspect that it will be easier to use as our daughter grows. We're looking forward to seeing how it handles camping next summer.
Love it October 21, 2008 My daughter just got to use it this past week while we were on vacation. The first night I zipped up both the netting & the darkening shade & she got too hot so she was crying in the middle of the night & I had to open up the darkening & just leave the netting zipped. She did great in it & Mommy didn't have to worry about where she was because the place we stayed was not baby proofed at all. I love that I could put her in it & zip her up & she was comfortable because of the blow up mattress that comes with it.
